These beautiful Sodalite donut earrings are sure to catch peoples eye and are a great project to practice your wire wrapping technique.
They are made using some of our lovely 20mm gemstone donuts, to see our full range click here.
With one of the lengths wrap the wire through the hole of the donut to create a bail with a loop on one side. Then repeat with another length of wire and do the same the other side. This will give you connector loops either side of your donut.
Use the other 2 lengths for the second donut.

Use your snipe nose pliers to open one of the jump rings, thread on the leaf charm and then attach it to the bottom loop on the dount. For more information on opening and closing jump rings successfully - click here
Do the same for the other earring.
You are then ready to attach the ear wires. Open the loop at the base of the earring and thread the top loop of the donut onto it, closing it after. When you do this you want to make sure the leaf charm is facing the front.
Finished! you're now ready to wear your new earrings!
With such a wide choice of gemstones why not try using a different stone or even a different size. We also stock 10mm donuts so you can follow the same process, but with a thinner wire.
Side cutters - for cutting and trimming wire, head pins etc.
Round nose pliers - for bending loops in wire
Snipe nose pliers - for open and closing jump rings
