Pearl & Starfish Drop Earrings

Pearl & Starfish Drop Earrings

These pearl and starfish drops would make a lovely gift for a coastal lover in your life!

With the products listed in the shopping list, you will receive more headpins than needed which you can use for even more projects.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS

1. Thread a pearl bead, followed by the starfish cap onto a headpin. You can adjust the cap by gently bending the arms of the starfish around the bead, but only do this once as repeatedly adjusting the size will weaken and damage the metal.

2. Using round nose pliers create a loop with the headpin just above the starfish (ensuring it will loop onto the earwire loop), use the tip of snipe nose pliers to hold the loop while wrapping the remaining wire around the base of the loop. Use side cutters to cut off the excess wire and use pliers to tuck in the end and neaten if needed.

3. Use snipe nose pliers to carefully open the loop of the earwire and attach the loop of the headpin before closing to secure.

4. Repeat the previous steps to create another earring drop and your earrings are ready to wear.
