The story of Kernowcraft...
Kernowcraft Rocks & Gems began way back in 1967, after my grandparents took a trip across the other side of the world to sunny Australia. It was here that they noticed the rising popularity of jewellery making and made the bold decision to bring this wonderful craft back to the UK.
With decades of growth and success, the business has since been handed down over three generations. I took over as Managing Director to continue the passion which fuelled our family business - to inspire fellow jewellers across the world to follow their creative dreams and provide all the tools they need to achieve them.
We are now celebrating over 50 years of sourcing high quality gemstones and jewellery making supplies to hobbyists, students and professional jewellers. Our small, knowledgeable team pride ourselves on delivering the very best customer service, a friendly voice at the end of the phone as well as a personal service you can always rely on.

Kernowcraft through the ages
We have had premises across Cornwall over the years selling in shops, until the 80s when Kernowcraft moved to an old pottery building in Bolingey on the north coast of Cornwall just outside Perranporth. It was here that we focused on mail order - it wasn't until the year 2000 that the Kernowcraft website launched! Today you can shop for all the jewellery making supplies you need right here on our website.
Local to Kernowcraft? We don't have a physical shop to but you can browse our website and use our Click & Collect service.
We're very proud of our Cornish roots, it's even in our name - Kernow means Cornwall in Cornish!
