Candy Cane Earring Kit

Candy Cane Earring Kit

How festive and fun are these candy cane inspired earrings! They are so easy to make and only require a few tools to complete the look.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS

1. Thread 10 beads onto the headpin, alternating between carnelian and mother of pearl to form the look of a candy cane pattern. TIP: You may wish to work harden the headpins slightly to ensure they keep their shape once bent into the candy cane shape - for tips on how to do this read our advice page.

2. Use the tip of round nose pliers to form a small loop at the end of the headpin to keep the beads secure on the head pin - you may wish to trim the headpin slightly before forming the loop depending on how much length is left - however, do keep in mind that you want the beads to have some wiggle room on the head pin as you will need to attach the earwire.

3. Use your fingers to manipulate the headpin into a candy cane shape by curving the top.

4. Use snipe nose pliers to open the loop of the earwire and attach to the headpin, around 3 beads down from the top. Close the loop to secure.

5. Repeat the process for the second earring. Your festive design is now complete!
