Silver Tassel Chain Earrings

These beautiful silver cone bead and tassel chain earrings are perfect if you want an on trend design. The silver chains gently sway and sparkle in the light. A perfect choice for a fashion follower.

Step By Step Instructions

You can see the technique used to wire wrap a bead in step by step photos here.

To start, cut a length of wire about 15cm long and bend in half.

Hold the 70cm piece of silver chain in one hand. Thread the wire through a link in the chain approximately 6 or 7cm down the chain, next move up the chain approximately 14cm and thread the link onto the wire. Continue until you have threaded the whole chain. Vary the lengths a little each time to make it less uniform.

Pull the 2 ends of wire up together so the chain is hanging. Create a few wire wraps to hold the chain in place. you will need to snip off any excess wire with side cutters and squeeze the end of the wire for a neat finish.

Next thread the cone bead over the 2 ends of wires and pull down over the top of the wire and chains so just the one strand is through the top of the cone bead.

Twist the wire around to form a loop and catch in the loop at the base of the ear wire. Fix the loop in place using the technique shown here, you will need to snip off any excess wire with side cutters and squeeze the end of the wire for a neat finish.

Repeat this process for the second earring.
