Turquoise & Beach Charm Necklace
This beautiful charm and bead necklace is perfect if you want a fun and colourful design. This design is a lovely choice for a beach lover or why not customise the look with different charms of your choice?
Step By Step Instructions
Place the chain on a flat surface and decide where you would like your charms and turquoise beads to be placed on the necklace.
Wire wrap the 4 turquoise beads one at a time and place back next to the necklace ready to be attached. You can see the technique used to wire wrap a bead in step by step photos here.
Next, It's time to create the wire wrapped bead and charms.
Simply cut a length of wire about 5cm long and form a loop with round nose pliers.
Twist the wire around and fix the loop in place, you will need to snip off any excess wire with side cutters and squeeze the end of the wire for a neat finish.
Thread the bead onto the wire and start to form another loop.
Now it's time to add your charm before you secure the loop.
Wrap the wire around the loop to secure it in place, and again trim any excess wire. You can see the technique used in step by step photographs here.
Use snipe nose pliers to open a jump ring and attach your chosen charm. Before closing the jump ring, attach to the chain and close.
Repeat this process with the other charms and turquoise until you are happy with the finished look.
In this kit, we have included 5 charms however you can add more if you wish.
Tools You May Need
Snipe nose pliers or flat nose pliers for opening and closing jump rings.
