Paua Shell Oval Pendant Necklace
This beautiful paua shell necklace is perfect if you want a fun and colourful coastal design. This design is a lovely choice for a beach lover!
Step By Step Instructions
1. Cut your flat suede cord to the desired length.
2. Thread the cord through the jump ring or bail that is already attached to the paua shell.
3. To secure the end caps to the cord, score the inside of the end cap with a scribe or similar and apply glue (Devcon 5 - minute epoxy). Insert the cleanly cut end of the cord as deep as possible. We found that placing a piece of wire through the eye in the cap can prevent the cord from being glued in too deep and blocking the hole - just be careful not to glue the wire in place!
4. Next, twist open a 7mm jump ring and thread through the hole of one end. Twist the jump ring closed. On the other end cap, twist open another 7mm jump ring and thread through. This time catch in the lobster clasp loop and twist the jump ring closed.
Your necklace is now complete!
In this kit, we have included a paua shell but you can choose an alternative charm if you wish.
Tools You May Need
Snipe nose pliers or flat nose pliers for opening and closing jump rings.
