Garnets are one of our best selling gems! Known for its durability and juicy dark red colouring but did you know that this gem also comes in a vibrant green and pinky plumb colour too? Garnet is also January's birthstone as well as the stone of the 2nd anniversary of marriage, so it's certainly a special gem with meaning. It's known as a stone of regeneration and is thought to revitalise your energy as well as being a symbol of love.

Learn how to create patina with liver of sulphur through watching our tutorial over on the blog.

Please note that in all cases, your jewellery piece should be finished (brushed, burnished or polished) and clean before applying the liver of sulphur. Don't forget to wear rubber gloves when using liver of sulphur to protect your hands (mainly from the smell!).
