Sea Glass Satellite Necklace

Sea Glass Satellite Necklace

We love collecting sea glass but what can you do with it? Make your own handmade jewellery!

This necklace project is so easy and you'll have a beautiful sea glass necklace in no time.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Choose your piece of sea glass that will work best as a pendant and ensure it is nice and clean.

You can use sandpaper to gently rough up the area that the sea glass will attach to the bail - this will make allow a stronger bond.

Use round nose pliers to form a loop in the wire.

Use the flat end of a hammer to flatten the wire, this will create a nice flat surface to set the stone to.

Use polishing papers to polish the wire and give it a beautiful shine.

Apply a small amount of Devcon 5 minute epoxy glue to the bail, then place your sea glass and apply a little pressure to make sure the glue has coated the bottom of the glass and leave in place until it feels secure.

If necessary you can wipe off any excess glue with a cloth before it dries. Allow to fully dry.

Using snipe or flat nose pliers, twist open a jump ring and attach to the loop of the bail.

Attach the chain and your design is complete!
