Maligano Cabochons
With their striking mix of warm terracotta, cream, grey and rust tones swirling together in bold, natural patterns, Maligano cabochons are a real showstopper for statement jewellery. No two stones are ever quite the same, each one telling its own story through its unique colour and mineral inclusions.
Maligano jasper was first discovered around 2011 in the village of Maligano in Sulawesi, Indonesia, where it forms in ancient volcanic hot springs - a process which gives it that distinctive brecciated, mosaic-like appearance.
Available in a choice of shapes and sizes, so you can pick the cabochon that best suits your design.
- Available in rectangle, triangle, teardrop, oval and square shapes
- Sizes ranging from approximately 23x23.5mm up to 40.5x23mm
- Hardness of 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale, suitable for everyday jewellery
- 100% natural gemstone, so expect gorgeous variation in colour and pattern from stone to stone
- Cabochon cut, with a smooth domed top and flat base, ideal for bezel settings, wire wrapping or glue-in mounts

Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).
Most orders are shipped the same day if placed before our cutoff. Dispatch may take longer during busy periods, sales events, or for complex/custom orders.
Special Delivery orders must be placed by 12 noon for same-day dispatch.
