With their ghostly layered inclusions captured deep within crystal-clear quartz, green phantom quartz cabochons are a fascinating stone to work with. As the quartz grew, brown or green mineral inclusions settled on its surface and were gradually encased within the crystal, creating a beautiful "phantom" or ghost-like layer visible right through the stone.
As these are natural inclusions, patterns and depth of colour will vary from stone to stone.
- Cabochon cut, with a smooth domed top and flat base - ideal for bezel settings, wire wrapping or glue-in mounts
- 100% natural gemstone, with inclusions unique to each individual stone
- Hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, suitable for everyday jewellery
