These dendrite opal cabochons are beautiful, varying in colour from solid white through to a slightly more translucent milky white. Each stone has patterns of delicate natural fern/tree like black markings called dendrites. As these patterns can vary each stone is unique. The contrast of the black pattern against the white background can sometimes be reminiscent of a winter landscape. The stones are untreated. Hardeness 5.5-6.5 on the Mohs scale
