Sphene Rose Cut Freeform Cabochon, Approx 12x9mm

This rose-cut freeform sphene cabochon is such a beautiful colour and as sphene is a rare gemstone we are really excited to have been able to source them for you. Sphene gets its name from the Greek word "sphenos" meaning wedge, due to its wedge-shaped crystals. This stone is a lovely translucent yellowish-green and the rose-cut facets reflect the light adding a bit of sparkle. This stone would make a lovely piece of jewellery either set in silver or gold.

  • Hardness of 5-5.5 on the Mohs scale
  • Natural gemstone - no treatment (may have surface imperfections and inclusions)
