Knife Edge Agate Burnisher

Price: £12.99 / each

This knife edge agate burnisher can be used like a regular metal burnisher but has the extra advantage of not damaging stones whilst setting. This lightweight burnisher has a wooden handle and a knife-edge shape. Agate burnishers are the perfect tool for applying gold leaf to Keum-boo pieces and 'burnishing' (smoothing) the surface of art clay before firing. 

  • Size: approximately 200mm
  • Size of agate knife edge: approximately 35mm
  • Treatment: Natural agate - may have inclusions however this should not affect its purpose
  • Sold individually
  • NB Care must be taken to avoid damaging the agate, although agate has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale it will break if knocked or dropped
