June Birthstone | Pearl

Alexandrite is June’s third birthstone. The stone is named after Prince Alexander of Russia as it was discovered in 1839 on the day of the prince’s birthday. It is a rare stone which has the ability to change colour; from light red or red-purple in artificial light to green or blue-green in daylight. It is thought to be a symbol of good luck which boosts self-esteem and promotes healing.
