February Birthstone | Amethyst

Explore February's birthstone, amethyst! Amethyst comes in a variety of colours from light mauve to rich dark purple, which are the most highly regarded stones. The word "amethyst" comes from the Greek word “amethystos” meaning “not drunk” so it was believed to prevent its wearers from intoxication. Amethyst is thought to be a symbol of sobriety, wisdom, strength and confidence.
