About Your Tutor
Emma Roy is an experienced jewellery artist, accredited Silver Clay Diploma tutor, and founder of the Silver Clay Academy. She’s passionate about helping makers unlock their creative potential with this amazing medium, and now she’s sharing her knowledge with you, absolutely free.
Emma first discovered the fascinating world of silver clay in 2017 during a keepsake jewellery course, and she hasn’t looked back since. What began as a creative spark quickly turned into a full-blown passion, leading her to build a successful jewellery business, Jewellery by Emma Roy. Her talent and dedication were recognised when she was named Cooksongold’s Designer of the Month.
In 2020, one of Emma’s most beloved pieces, a miniature silver fairy door, received both The People’s Choice Award and a Certificate of Merit in the Man, Myth and Magic Challenge, hosted by the Alliance for Metal Clay Arts Worldwide.
Emma is a fully qualified Art Clay Silver instructor, holding Diplomas at Levels 1, 2, and the Higher Level 3. This enables her to offer the prestigious Art Clay Diploma to her students, helping them progress and gain formal recognition for their skills.
As founder of the Silver Clay Academy, Emma brings a wealth of experience, a deep love for silver clay, and a genuine passion for teaching. Her workshops and courses are designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and share the magic of this remarkable material with others.
