“Since adding a stone holder to my tool kit I have discovered a variety of uses for it! Using a stone holder to take a small stone from a packet/pot of stones reduces the chance of dropping/spilling the lot, and this also applies to handling other very small components such as silver balls for granulation. Among other uses the stone holders can be used to place stones into collets prior to setting, to thread very small beads and to place silver/gold balls on work prior to granulation. Unlike tweezers the design of the stone holders prevents round items from slipping out of its grip."
