I have just started making silver and copper wire woven/wrapped jewellery, so quite a novice. This machine is wonderful: simple to use, very effective, but rather noisy! I found it helped the barrel turn smoothly if I gently moved it end to end before putting it onto the machine. I guess this helps to distribute the stainless steel balls and even out the weight inside the barrel. Also, before you put the balls into the barrel, make sure it is securely pushed into the base otherwise balls can get stuck in the gap and cause it to leak. Make sure you do the same when you put the lid on after filling. My jewellery is sparkling. Highly recommend this for value, ease of use and 5 year guarantee.
