Freeform Mexican Fire Opal - Approx 14x9mm

Price: £34.99 / each

This freeform Mexican fire opal is beautiful with flashes of iridescent fire emanating from its center. This opal was mined from one of the first opal mines in Magdalena Jalisco, Mexico. In Mexico, the opal was named vitzitziltecpal or "hummingbird stone", due to the iridescence colour of the gem being similar to that of a hummingbird's plumage.

  • Has a hardness of 5.5-6 on the Mohs scale
  • Natural genuine gemstone - no treatment
  • May have surface imperfections and inclusions
