A simple necklace project using paua shell natural shell charms. Stunning colours of turquoise, blue, purple and pink are great for a coastal inspired necklace.
This kit provides you with more wire and jump rings than needed so you can make more similar creations.
Simply cut a length of wire about 5cm long and use this to wire wrap the aqua blue chalcedony bead.
Form a loop one end of the wire using round nose pliers, leaving a short length one side of the loop.
Take the shorter length of wire and wrap it around the longer length to create a tight, neat coil (2 or 3 twists should be enough). Cut off any excess wire as close to the coil as possible using wire cutters. Using snipe nose pliers, make sure it's tucked in and there are no sharp points.
Thread the bead onto the open end of the wire and place the round nose pliers after the bead and bend to a right angle. Form another loop while attaching to the paua shell charm before securing, and repeat the process of wrapping the wire back down towards the bead.
Twist open a 3.5mm jump ring using snipe nose pliers and attach to the top loop. Thread the chain through the jump ring to finish.
