A perfect easy to make pendant project for summer festival season. This project doesn't require any previous jewellery making experience and you should be able to complete the project in less than 20 minutes.
Take a length of wire, we used around 1m of 0.5mm sterling silver wire for this project,
Thread the wire through the hole in the crystal point so that the crystal is in the middle of the wire. Choose the nicest side to be the front of the pendant, ideally with a fairly flat facet at the front so that the stone setting will sit neatly against the crystal.
Hold the crystal against the circle connector and secure them together by wrapping each end of the wire around either side of the connector once, this will help keep it in place.
Next set the stone in the setting, the
Next continue to wrap the wire around the crystal and the connector so they are securely wrapped together and the wire wraps create a nice even shape around the stone, when you are finished, trim the ends of the wire and tuck the ends in so they won't catch on your skin or clothes and won't become loose.
Finally, fold the silk cord in half and push the folded end through the top of the loop connector and thread the ends through so the pendant hangs from the middle of the cord. You can then simply tie a knot
Side Cutters - to cut the silver wire
Snipe nose pliers - useful for various types of wire work and for opening and closing jump rings
