This beautiful necklace is so simple to make, making it perfect for a jewellery making beginner.
We've chosen a beautiful cornflower blue sapphire stone, but the choice is yours! Browse our range of faceted stones here.
1. To start set the stone in the backset setting - to do this place the setting on a flat surface then place the faceted stone into the setting, flat side down.
2. Push down the metal claws with a pair of tweezers or snipe nose pliers so that the stone is held securely in place.
3. Using snipe or flat nose pliers, twist open a jump ring and attach the the pendant setting.
4. Thread on the chain and your necklace is complete!
Fine point tweezers or snipe nose pliers - ideal for pushing the claws of the setting down to secure it
Or pack of pliers & side cutters which is an economical way of buying all the pliers you will need for every project.
