Setting Snaptite Mounts
Snaptite settings are a simple and easy way to set faceted stones. They are available as earring mounts,
pendants, or loose mounts for you to incorporate into your own designs (these are especially pretty threaded onto wire and used to decorate tiaras.) The snaptite settings have pre-notched claws that grip
the stone, meaning that you don’t need traditional stone setting techniques to set faceted stones.
How to Create
1.Select your snaptite setting and correct sized stone to set in it (the example shown below is a SP38 8mm round pendant set with an W13 8mm Brazilian Amethyst.)
2. Place the faceted stone face down (flat side down) onto a firm surface such as a magazine placed on your work surface.
3.Apply gentle pressure to the mount to ‘click’ the stone into place.
4. Check that the claws are firmly in place - it may be necessary to gently adjust the claws to ensure a secure fit.

5. In the example shown we have slipped the pendant onto a SN33 extra fine Sterling Silver snake chain.
