Shelf Kit With Posts for SC2 Paragon Kiln

This shelf kit for the paragon SC2 kiln consists of a 178x178x15mm, hard cordierite shelf and four 25x25x12mm posts to stand it on. We highly recommend you buy at least one extra shelf kit when you buy your kiln as you`re likely to need one at some point!
It is useful to have one or more if you are planning to fire a lot of PMC or metal clay pieces in each firing as the shelves can be stacked up to allow extra surfaces for placing work on. Up to three shelf kits can be fitted inside the kiln. The shelves are also suitable for glass work and enamelling. The structure of the cordierite shelf heats and cools evenly which is essential for glass work as the temperature of all kilns fluctuates slightly during the firing sequence as the elements are turned on and off, which could cause glass to crack without a cordierite shelf. Although they look tough, most ceramics break if they`re dropped, so it`s also a good idea to have spare shelves just in case this happens.
You will see that there are two price options below; one is for the shelf kit on it`s own and there is a special price if you buy the shelves on the same order as your kiln. The price also gets better the more shelves you buy.
