Some of the most beautiful opals we've ever seen!
Once again we have been lucky enough to be visited by one of our favourite opal suppliers. This small family company from Australia, mine cut and polish some of the most beautiful opals we have ever seen, so we felt very priveleged to choose some of their latest freeform opal cabochons. Sometimes people refer to cabochons like this as 'designer cabochons' and each one really is a wonderfully, beautiful stone - designed if you like by nature and through careful cutting and polishing skills. Some of the boulder opals we looked at cost hundreds and even thousands of pounds, but we figured that these might be a little out of the price range of most of our customers! So we carefully selected the most beautiful stones at the best prices we could and we really feel that we have some amazing stones at some great value prices.
Each stone is totally unique and we have done our best to photograph these well, although opal is one of the hardest gems to photograph. These stones really come to life in bright sunshine, so whatever you decide to create you will be sure your opal jewellery will attract some fantastic compliments!
