Precious metal clay - almost seems like magic!

Precious metal clay must be one of the most significant, recent leaps forward in jewellery making & is an excellent product which enables anyone to create effective pieces of jewellery with limited tools & skills.

Precious metal clay (PMC) is an amazingly versatile new material which can be used with relative ease to create pure silver jewellery. It resembles clay, but is a mixture of a non-toxic organic binder, water & tiny particles of 99% pure silver, so it is slightly purer & softer than sterling silver.

PMC offers unlimited possibilities to jewellery makers of all levels.

The process of turning a soft clay into a solid precious metal is quite amazing & almost seems like magic. Even with only a little jewellery making experience you will be able to create your own unique silver jewellery. For those with silversmithing experience it can open up new ways of creating effects that were previously very difficult or impossible to achieve with traditional methods. Once fired precious metal clay can also be hallmarked. (Interesting Note: Under UK law anything over 7.78grams, when calling it and selling it as silver, should be hallmarked. Most everyday jewellery items come under this weight so do not have to be hallmarked.)

There are unlimited ways for you to create unique pieces of jewellery using precious metal clay and as you begin to experiment you will realise that the only limit is your imagination!

“Wonderful stuff, absolutely fabulous! With a little application nearly everyone can make professional-looking and daring work which, before PMC, would have taken many years of training to achieve. If I weren’t so addicted to colour I would use only this."
